Meet the King's Way Cooperative School team...

Kelly Baker
Director of Children's Ministries
Head of School

Kelly is a busy mother of four wonderful children and and the wife of her very supportive husband, Logan.  She and her family live on a small farm in Woodford County where they raise goats, sheep,  chickens, ducks, and pigs.  She loves the outdoors and loves raising her children around animals, learning about hard work and caring for God's creation.  

 

In her free time you can find her reading a book (or more likely, listening to an audio book), cross-stitching, or traveling with her family.

​

Kelly studied at the University of Kentucky where she received her undergrad in Family Studies and then went on to receive her Master's of Education degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She has been working in education for more than 18 years.

​

Kelly has a passion for dynamic, Christ-centered education. She strives to create an environment where the personhood of all children is honored. She longs to help parents claim a stake in their child's education.  And she endeavors for academic excellence for every student. Above all, she hopes to cultivate a learning environment that brings glory to God.

Sarah Haynes
Administrative Assistant

Sarah is a mom of two teenage children and married to her adoring husband, Keith. They transplanted from West Virginia many years ago and now call Lexington home.

 

In her free time, you will find her reading a book, cross-stitching, or spending time with dear friends.

​

Sarah has worked with children for over 20 years.  She's served as a teacher, a nanny and numerous other administrative roles.

 

Sarah has worked at KWCS for many years.  She began her career as a teacher and transitioned to her current administrative assistant role.  As all her co-workers will tell you, she is the glue that keeps it all together. 

 

Sarah loves to support teachers and families in any way she can. She feels lucky to have a daily opportunity to aid in the Christ-centered education of so many young minds.

Kari Adams
Preschool Director

Kari is the proud mom of two sweet and energetic children as well as a stepmom to her bonus daughter, who is currently a college student at UK. She and her husband, Bart have been married for 13 years.

 

In her free time, you'll most likely find her exercising or outside with her kids!

 

Kari studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Kentucky and received Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Midway College. She has previous experience working as an Event Coordinator as well as a Health Education Coordinator to all age groups, from preschoolers to senior adults!

 

Kari has a passion for helping children learn about God’s creation and believes the best way to do so is to explore and have fun! She believes that investing in the hearts of the next generation while sharing the love of God is one of the most important jobs in the world.

Molly Rice
Preschool Curriculum Coordinator
Preschool Teacher

Molly is the proud mom to three beautiful children! Her husband, Eric, serves as Executive Pastor in their home church. So it's safe to say that loving and serving is a family affair, here in Versailles.

 

In her free time you can find her reading, honing her facepaint skills or tackling a new house reno project. 

 

Molly has worked with children most of her life! She has served as a personal nanny, worked in childcare centers and even cared for children in her home. Molly holds an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. 

 

Molly is passionate about connecting with each child individually because she believes that how you best create a nurturing environment where children can best learn. She strives to make each child feel seen, valued and loved. Above all, she is passionate about teaching in an environment that combines play-based, hands-on learning with Christian values

Sarah Rankin
Preschool Teacher

Sarah is the proud mom of two rambunctious boys, one fun loving little girl and the wife of T.A.   They live in Versailles with their 2 dogs and a cat!

In her free time you can find her curled up with a good book, exploring outdoors with her kids or traveling with friends and family.

She loves children and has worked with them in a variety of different ways throughout her life. She has had the privilege of working at King's Way Cooperative School for six years and has enjoyed getting to know all the sweet friends that enter her classroom!

She believes every child is magical in their own right and loves getting to be a part of building their relationship with with Jesus through playing and learning!

Mollee Harley
Preschool Teacher

Mollee is the proud mom to three loving, energetic little people and married to her best friend, Zach.  They also have a precious little Boston Terrier they call family.

 

In her free time, you will find her reading a good book, camping and enjoying the great outdoors.  She's especially fond of the water.

 

Mollee has worked with children for over twelve years and has her Child Development Associates from Morehead University.  She has spent her early childhood career as a nanny, in Christian child care centers and in Head Start programs.

 

Mollee loves teaching and works so hard each day because she thinks pouring into young children, loving them, and teaching them about a God that loves them is the most important work she could do.  She knows that investing in these children is her part in making the world a better place

Shaylyn Hampton
Preschool Teacher

Shaylyn is the mama of two hilarious boys and wife to her best friend, Jordan. They live in Lexington with their spunky pup, Belle. 

 

In her free time you can find her dancing, reading, or building Legos. 

 

Shaylyn graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies. She worked in the nonprofit sector until her first son was born. 

 

She loves children and has worked with them throughout her life in a variety of both academic and extracurricular settings. In addition to teaching preschool here at King's Way for the past several years, Shaylyn is also the founder and director of the Performing Arts program where she teaches a variety of dance and theater classes. 

 

Shaylyn is especially passionate about helping her students grow not just academically, but emotionally and Spiritually too. It brings her joy as a teacher to create an atmosphere in the classroom where every child feels safe and loved. The principle that guides her teaching is that every child is a masterpiece uniquely created by God to receive and reflect His love.

Erin Clifton
Elementary Teacher

Erin is a mom of two precious elementary aged children, Zac and Hannah. She is married to Jay- her best friend, love of her life, and high school sweetheart. She has called Versailles home for over ten years.

 

In her free time you will most likely find her in or near water. She loves hanging out at the lake, swimming in the pool, or lounging in the hot tub. She also enjoys reading and playing games with her family and friends. 

 

Erin received a Bachelors of Science in Education from Asbury University. While teaching in Fayette County she continued her education at Georgetown College. There she received her Masters of Education along with an endorsement for teaching English Language Learners. 

 

Erin has had well over a decade of experience teaching in many different venues- from public, to private, to home! What excites her most is teaching alongside parents, loving on children, and teaching them about Christ!

Megan Cecil
Elementary Teacher

Megan is a mom of two loving littles and happy wife of Matthew. She moved to Versailles after meeting her husband in Lexington. They are loving raising their family in this sweet town. 

​

In her free time, you will find her reading a book, gardening, hiking, or camping.

 

Megan graduated from Asbury University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. After finishing school, she made the commitment to stay home with her children until they were old enough to begin their own school adventure. She has extensive experience working with little ones in a play-based, Christ-centered environment.  

 

Megan has a passion for partnering with parents to create a magical learning experience.  One that makes room for movement and play, but produces motivated, happy learners. Learners who have a solid foundation of math and literacy skills.  However, her greatest desire as a teacher will always be to help her students learn about Christ and His love for the world.

Liz Redwine
Preschool Teacher

Liz is a Mom of two amazing kids, Walker and June. She is married to Adrian, her biggest supporter. They were both born and raised in Versailles. She loves watching her children grow where she grew up. They also have two big fur babies, Mando and Obi. 

​

In her free time you can find her in the gym, reading a good book, or going on a date night with her husband. 

​

Liz has worked in the healthcare fields for 6 years before becoming a stay at home mom. She has always had a passion for kids which lead her to opened an in-home daycare for 3 years before starting her journey in a preschool setting. 

​

Liz loves teaching and enjoys seeing each student learn something new. She is passionate about giving children a safe and fun place to learn and grow. She strives to show the children the love of God.

Kari Lostocco
Middle School Teacher

Kari is the mom of FIVE amazing boys! She is married to her best friend, Adam. Kari grew up in Versailles. After college, she moved to Florida where she met her husband. When she was pregnant with her first child, she and Adam moved back to Versailles to raise their family.

 

In her free time, Kari enjoys taking walks, reading, and exercising. She loves diy projects and learning new things.

 

Kari graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has over 15 years of experience teaching children of all ages, from preschool to college, in a variety of educational settings. She began her career teaching in a private school. After having children, she continued to work as a private tutor, and then began homeschooling her own children.

 

Kari loves teaching math and reading. Her passion, though, is to create lifelong learners. Her goal is for each child to know the love of Jesus.

Mindy Groff
Kindergarten Teacher

Mindy and her husband Brian are the proud parents of four kiddos, ranging from elementary-school aged up to college. They love living near family in Lexington, where they are involved in serving their church and participating in various local youth organizations.

Mindy enjoys gardening, reading, and crafting in her free time. She and her family spend a lot of time outside riding bikes, playing pickleball, and exploring local parks.

Mindy has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Kentucky. After working for a few years in a research archive, Mindy took time off to be home with her kids before stepping into the world of education through homeschooling and teaching online.

Mindy’s favorite part about teaching is helping kids make new connections and develop a better understanding of God’s world and their own place in it. She believes that reading good books and spending time outdoors are among the best ways to do that, and she is excited to share these experiences with the kindergarteners at King’s Way Cooperative.

Destinie Cox
Preschool Teacher

Destinie is the dog mom of her sweet beagle terrier. She has lived in Versailles her whole life as the youngest sister and fun aunt to her 5 nieces and nephews who she adores. 

 

She spends her free time reading, painting and spending quality time with those she loves most (or playing at Mario Cart).

 

Destinie received her associates degree in Arts and Illustrations from Sessions College of Professional Design. Here, she gained skills that encourage creative thinking and the promotion of the value of art in every day life.

 

Destinie has gained experience in childhood education through after school tutoring programs, children's church ministries and here at King's Way!

​

She has been a valuable member of our team  since 2021.  She loves her job because it gives her the chance  to help children gain valuable social emotional skills and she loves getting to enjoy the beauty of nature right along side our students!

Micalah Gadwaw
Preschool Teacher

A proud mom to two wonderful kiddos—her sweet and loving son and her wild and joyful daughter. She’s been married to her husband, Daniel, for over seven years. Their family also includes two beloved dogs who keep life extra lively!

When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll find her soaking up the outdoors with her kids or spending quiet time on the porch with her devotionals.

Her heart for children runs deep. She’s been actively involved in children’s ministries for years and feels incredibly blessed to have helped raise nieces, nephews, and many other little ones along the way. She believes that children are one of the greatest earthly gifts from God, and she’s passionate about nurturing their hearts and faith.

She’s truly excited to be a part of the mission at King’s Way—helping to build strong foundations in both learning and a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

Joanna Fields
Teaching Assistant

Joanna is a mom to 3 precious kids who all attend Kings Way Co-op. She is married to her husband and best friend, Landry, whom she met in college. They recently moved from Lexington to Versailles and are loving living in a smaller town.

 

In her free time you can find her reading a book, sitting in nature or playing a round of golf. She also loves to thrift shop while sipping on an iced coffee. 

 

Joanna graduated from the University of Kentucky and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education for grades 5-9 in Language Arts and Social Studies as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education. 

 

Joanna has 6 years of experience teaching in the public schools as a middle school teacher as well as several years of working with children of all ages in other jobs and capacities. What Joanna loves most about teaching is developing a rapport with the students, helping to instill a love for learning and getting to tell them about God’s love!

Catie Allen
Preschool Teacher

Catie is the blessed mama of three lovely girls and has been married for over a decade to the love of her life, Jack.  They live here in Versailles with their two GIANT dogs and two more normal sized cats.

 

In her spare time you would likely find her enjoying music, a good book or taking in a funny show.

 

Catie graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Communication Sciences. Although she has worked with children in many capacities over the years, most recently she has enjoyed staying home and raising her children.

​

Now that all of her little ones have started school, she's so excited to move into the classroom and start her journey as a preschool teacher!

Stacey Johnson
Preschool Teacher

Stacey is the mama of three wonderful children—her oldest in college and her other two learning alongside her at King's Way Christian School. She is wife to her best friend, Jeremiah, who serves in full-time ministry, but still finds time to lead the school’s chess club.

 

They live locally and enjoy spending time together as a family. In her free time, you can find Stacey crafting, fellowshipping with friends, or exploring creative activities with her children.

​

Stacey graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and has devoted much of her life to working with children in a variety of academic and play-based settings. She has been teaching preschool at King's Way for several years, where she delights in creating a warm, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for her students.

She is passionate about guiding her students’ growth not just academically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.

 

Stacey’s classroom is a place where each child is valued, encouraged, and recognized as a unique masterpiece of God’s creation.

Cara Dee Cecil
Elementary Teacher

Cara Dee is the proud mom of three vivacious kiddos! After teaching each of them at home for a time, she transitioned each of them to this amazing homeschool community! Jacob, her devoted husband of 18 years, serves as the KWCS archery coach while Cara Dee has subbed and serves as our Photography Club Sponsor. For the Cecils, our school truly is a family affair!

​

Cara Dee and her sweet family live nearby in Lexington. In her free time, you might find her with her nose in a book, working in her impressive garden, chasing backyard chickens or possibly baking the most delicious sourdough bread for her family and friends.

​

She feels truly blessed to officially join the teaching team and can't wait to see what God has in store for her, her family and her future students.

Lacy Rinehart
Preschool Teacher

Lacy is the proud mom of 4 sweet kiddos and she has been married to her wonderful husband Scott for 14 years. 

​

In her free time you will most likely find her reading, hanging out with kids or enjoying the outdoors with her family. 

​

Lacy studied Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Family Studies. She likes to use her skills working with preschool age children.

 

In addition to her work at KWCS, she also serves as the nursery coordinator for her home church. You can often find her helping plan events for families to connect with their children! 

​

Lacy has a passion to work with all children, but especially loves the preschool age. She loves to share God’s love with the younger generation. Lacy enjoys connecting with each child and learning the best way to teach and work with them. She believes that every child is a gift from God and wants to see them do their best.
